About Me

Mr Vilas Anil Chavan

Currently he is working as a Head and Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Science of SoPAHS of Centurion University of Technology and Management, Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. 

Also he is Pursuing his Ph.D. in Forensic Science at Center of Research for Development (CR4D) and Parul Institute of Applied Sciences, Parul University, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. 

He has worked as a Forensic Professional in Computer Forensic Unit of Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Central Bureau of Investigation, New Delhi, India. He has worked in the capacity of Assistant Professor at various Forensics Institutes. He has more than three years of teaching and administrative experience in the field of Forensics.

As far as his educational background is concerned, he has completed his B.Sc. in Forensics from YCIS, Satara, MS, India. and M.Sc. in Forensics with specialisation in Fingerprint and Questioned Document Examination from Government Institute of Forensic Science, Aurangabad, MS, India.

He has Qualified NTA UGC - NET & MH - SET in the subject Forensic Science as an eligibility test for the post of Assistant Professor. Also he has cleared FACT (Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test) for the subject Forensic Document Examination conducted by GoI MHA collaborating with LNJN NICFS, New Delhi, India.

He has wide research interest in various domains of forensic science like Forensic Nanotechnology, Forensic Document Examination and Fingerprint Science.
