    Description:

    Abstract— By 2022, the world will witness new technologies in the field of communications, Radar communications and wireless communications. Therefore, there is lot of future scope for the antenna design to meet the client needs. Lot of factors will influence the synthesis of an antenna. In the present era, synthesis of antenna arrays and beamforming is an issue in the area of Radar systems and wireless systems. Meta-heuristic optimization algorithms play a major role in synthesis of an antenna arrays. Meta-heuristic optimization algorithms comprise Bat algorithm, Chicken swarm, Cuckoo search (CS), Ant colony, Runner root and flower pollination algorithms. This paper explains about the synthesis of linear antenna arrays (LAA), circular antenna arrays (CAA), planar arrays, conformal arrays and Hybrid Beamforming techniques.
